WALTHAM, MA (August 23 2004) -- Thermo Electron Corporation, a supplier of analytical solutions, announced a new agreement with the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Inc. (NIBRI) in Cambridge, Mass. Under this agreement, Thermo will supply Ultra High Throughput Screening (uHTS) automation technologies to Novartis' new global research headquarters in Cambridge.
"As Novartis enters a new chapter with the opening of its global research headquarters here in Massachusetts, Thermo will work closely with NIBRI to facilitate and augment the drug discovery process with what we feel are the best automation tools available," said Marc Casper, president, Thermo Electron Life and Laboratory Sciences.
