OTTAWA - Further to previous communications, Health Canada is advising Canadians that we have identified two additional Male and Female Harmony retail stores that were selling unauthorized health products. These products have been removed from sale. It is important to note that the Male and Female Harmony store located at 4554 Kingsway, Burnaby, B.C. is also known as "Love in Love Adult Store."

In addition to the products found at the previous locations, Health Canada also identified and removed from sale, an additional unauthorized product, "Imperial Cordycepswang" at the Male and Female Harmony store located at 4554 Kingsway, Burnaby, B.C.

Health Canada's testing of "Imperial Cordycepswang" found undeclared prescription medications and phenolphthalein.  Phenolphthalein, which was previously used as a laxative, is no longer authorized for sale in Canada because it may cause cancer. Additional side-effects associated with phenolphthalein include decreased blood pressure, skin rash and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Should any new products or issues be identified, Health Canada will continue to update our current list of affected products. Canadians are advised to monitor this list of affected products for any possible updates.
