REASON FOR THE RECALL:
In order to maintain the highest standards of product quality and safety for Spartan Stores, Michael Foods, Minnetonka, MN., a producer of hard-boiled eggs is initiating a voluntary product withdrawal on one lot code of hard-boiled eggs due to a possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. . As a result of this Michael Foods recall, Spartan Central Kitchen is requesting that the above listed items be pulled and destroyed. Contact Spartan Central Kitchen at 616-878-8940 for credit. Spartan Stores has received no confirmation of illness associated with the consumption of these products,

Note: Recall Verification Checks-
The MDA/FDA may spot check stores to ensure recalled product has been removed from the sales floor. The following information may be requested during these spot checks: a copy of the recall notice, location of pulled recall items, name/s of associate/s who pulled the product and paperwork showing quantity of items pulled. It is recommended that stores have this information available upon request by the inspector.
