Double-Layer Membrane Cartridge

The Biofil™ Plus range of microbial-rated cartridges has been developed and manufactured for the filtration of complex biological liquids found in biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other critical applications. The cartridge uses a naturally hydrophilic polyethersulphone (PES) membrane with a mirrored asymmetric pore structure, combined with a unique built-in pre-filtration membrane layer, allowing for longer life and higher throughput. When combined with quality all-polypropylene components and high-integrity manufacturing techniques, the filter cartridge is ideally suited to the most demanding process conditions. A new, comprehensive validation guide, summarizing the extensive testing and evaluation program undertaken by the company on the cartridges in order to meet the key demands of the Pharmaceutical Industry, is now available. The cartridges are constructed in a clean room under tightly controlled conditions using advanced, highly specialized machinery. The quality and consistency of product is assured by the company’s ISO accredited quality control and manufacturing procedures, which are in place throughout all stages of manufacture. The cartridges are 100 percent integrity tested during manufacture by the forward flow diffusion test method.
