The MegaPlus II family of cameras include single and 3-CCD cameras with resolutions up to 11 megapixels per single CCD, and frame rates up to 30 fps. A central camera controller houses the basic camera electronics, calibration tables and additional support firmware. By keeping sensors in a cooler environments, the cameras achieve low noise and a high dynamic range. The controller connects to computing systems via Ethernet, CameraLink or Firewire. Interchangeable camera heads are available in color and monochrome, and are small enough to fit into the tightest areas.
