Disposable Encapsulated Filter

for pre- and final filtration

The disposable UltraCap® filter capsule is designed for pre- and final filtration of pharmaceutical fluids. The unit is an integrally sealed filter and housing unit and is completely disposable, eliminating the need for cleaning and the associated cleaning validation costs. The UltraCap® is available with absolute removal ratings from 0.45 µm - 70µm. Filter membranes can be specified in SteriLUX® hydrophilic PVDF, Steridyne® hydrophobic PVDF, STyLUX® polyethersulfone, Chemdyne® polypropylene and Ultradyne® PTFE. Typical applications include sterile filtration of serum, tissue culture media, microbiological growth media, and other viscous biological liquids; sterile tank venting; and disposable bioprocessing systems.
