Made of virgin polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin material, 250 ml NALGENE PET Square Media Bottles are a cost-effective alternative to glass media bottles. The bottles have excellent gas barrier properties, and are lightweight, leakproof and shatter-resistant, making them ideal for air shipment. The square design also minimizes required storage space, while the molded-in graduations also allow for easy sample assessment. Each PET Square Media Bottle is gamma irradiated to provide a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10^-6 to eliminate the cleaning preparation steps required for similar glass products. Both the bottle and HDPE closure material meet current biological testing standards, including USP Class VI, USP , European Pharmacopoeia for Abnormal Toxicity, Cytotoxicity, Hemolysis and are Non-pyrogenic.
