Supplied as silicone fittings attached directly to silicone tubing or hose, the assemblies are well suited for applications involving aseptic transfer, sterile processing, and other critical applications in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, and high purity industries. The construction of molded silicone assemblies allows the benefits of platinum-cured silicone to remain constant throughout the assembly. Silicone's temperature resistance-from -100°F to 400°F-is retained, as are its flexibility, dielectric properties, sterilization options, and non-toxicity. The assemblies do not impart taste or odor, nor do they contain plasticizers, which can leach out and cause contamination.
