The LDCS offers six interchangeable fully perforated coating pans (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 4.0, 6.0 and 8.0 liters) for the application of aqueous, solvent and sugar film coatings. A new front access door provides complete access to the pans for installation and removal. Sanitary clamps are used to secure the pan, inlet and exhaust ducts in position making the changeover very quick and easy with out any tools. The pan cabinet is wash-down with a drain port to assist in cleaning the system after processing. Two pan carts are available with the system. One cart, with storage for two (2) pans is designed for installation/removal of the pans from the system. The second cart is a storage cart for up to four (4) additional pans. The system has been increased slightly in height (6 inches) to provide a more ergonomic viewing of the coating process and control system. The control system features a Micrologix 1100 PLC that communicates with a Panel View Plus (color OIP) via Ethernet, providing manual or auto/recipe operation along with data collection.
