Bulk Bag Discharger Unloads Bags Without Use Of A Forklift
The Type 6 Bulk Bag Discharger (BBD) is used for unloading powder or granular product material into various processing equipment including mixers, sifters, mills, etc. as well as into packing equipment. Each Type 6 BBD is tailored to suit individual customer specifications and is available in carbon steel and 304 stainless steel options. The Type 6 unit is designed to allow one operator to control a standard 1-ton hoist which positions the bulk bag into the discharger. The hoist runs along a fully load tested integral “I” lifting beam. The unit features innovative bag tensioning supports which compensate for the capacity/weight of the bag and stretches it to ensure total discharge. Pneumatic side and/or base massage paddles are available, when appropriate, to promote the flow of sticky, cohesive or otherwise difficult products. Each discharger has dust tight material collection hopper with integral locking access door and viewing port. The door is amply sized to enable the operator to untie/re-tie the bag spout and liner.
