Family of high-resolution ink-jet printing systems uses the IP9000 controller for printing on one or two sides of secondary packages such as cartons or trays. These systems offer high print quality with minimal maintenance requirements and exceptionally low ink consumption. A plug-in disposable bottle contains the non-pressurized ink supply. The IP9000 controller can be paired with four different printheads for increasingly higher resolution and different types of printing: the LC2, 96/32, 192/32 or 352/32. All of these combinations print up to 4 lines of text in an area up to 1.9 inches high. The new system uses Trident’s repairable print engine and the company’s rugged, low maintenance printheads, able to function reliably in industrial environments. These printheads do not require changing filters, recalibration or flushing when the system is shut down.
