The 9140 series Field Metrology Wells are designed for optimum performance and functionality over the range of –25 °C to 661 °C. Unlike traditional field dry-wells, the new wells maximize speed and portability without compromising key metrology performance criteria such as stability to ± 0.01 ºC, radial uniformity to ± 0.01 ºC, axial uniformity at 40 mm to ± 0.04 ºC, loading to ± 0.006 ºC, and hysteresis to ± 0.015 ºC. These units weigh about 16 lbs. and will reach 660 ºC in less than 15 minutes. The Field Metrology Well “process” option makes possible a turn-key solution for field calibration.
