Barcode Readers Ideal For Use In Hazardous Areas

The SCANEX family of barcode readers is engineered for use in hazardous areas. Three models are available - the Dragon D101, a cabled trigger operated handheld scanner; the Dragon M101, a wireless trigger operated handheld scanner; and the Nano, a fixed mount miniature scanner with continuous scan operation. The D101’s reading distance is 80 to 800 mm (3 to 31.5 in.), while a long-range option expands the range from 250 to 2500 mm (10 to 100 in.). The wireless M101 offers a maximum reading distance of 1100 mm (43 in.), with a 50 m (164 ft.) radio transmission radius. The unit weighs less than one pound and can perform up to 30,000 read operations per battery charge. No license is required for the wireless radio frequency, and up to 32 readers link to one radio base station. Special features include single store batch mode and datalogging. The IP65 rated Nano offers a reading distance range from 100 to 750 mm (4 to 29 in.) with a scan rate of 39 scans per second. The operating temperature range is –20°C to +55°C. This unit is ideal for fixed location scanning as on weighing platforms and conveyor systems.
