The Wave Bioreactor® System500/1000 is designed to handle a wide range of cell culture needs in research, process development and cGMP production in the 50-500 liter range. The combination of simplicity of operation, less labor and the use of the presterilized Cellbag® eliminates many of the tasks required with conventional bioreactors, including sterilization and decontamination steps. Set-up can be completed in less than an hour. Protein concentrations of 50% or more have been reported for hybridoma production, virus culture, plant cell culture, and other types of cells. The System500/1000 has a temperature controlled enclosure and instrumentation for DO, pH and CO2 monitoring. In addition, the programmable rocking system that controls angle and rate for optimal mixing thoroughly disperses ingredients in a matter of seconds.
