The basis of the stretchcard is a transparent film (which can be eco-friendly, corn-based PLA film) that is stretched over the item or items allowing for almost complete product visibility at the point of purchase. On either side of the film is cardstock that is used to display the product name, marketing messages, ingredients, discount coupons or anything that the manufacturer wants the consumer to see or read. Options such as perfing, die-cutting, color and size selection, packaging designs, type of film utilized, the shape (or number) of products to be packaged, etc., provide the manufacturer with a wide array of choices.
