INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Eli Lilly & Co. said Monday a U.S. district court granted its request to temporarily halt generic drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. from launching a version of the osteoporosis drug Evista. Israel-based Teva has indicated that it is ready to launch a generic version of the Eli Lilly drug. The patent dispute is being heard in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Evista had sales of $1.08 billion in 2008, according to Lilly’s annual report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
