Cytokinetics says chairman James Sabry resigned
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) — Biotechnology Cytokinetics Inc. said Tuesday that James Sabry, the chairman of its board of directors, has resigned to take an operations job at a pharmaceutical company.
Patrick Gage, a former president of Wyeth's research division, will take over as chairman for Cytokinetics effective immediately. Gage joined the Cytokinetics board in 2009.
Sabry is a co-founder and former CEO of Cytokinetics, and he will continue to consult with the company. Cytokinetics said details about Sabry's new position will be announced soon.
