MDS Finishes Sale of Early Stage Service Unit
NEW YORK (AP) — Medical research firm MDS Inc. said Monday that it completed the sale of its early stage business, which completes a series of strategic shifts for the company.
The MDS Pharma Services Early Stage business was sold to the private equity firms Bain Capital Ventures and SV Life Sciences for $45 million. The sale was announced last month.
Late last year, MDS agreed to sell its analytical technologies business and its Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex unit to Danaher Corp. for $1.1 billion.
