Perrigo settles lotion patent suit with Nycomed
Over-the-counter drug maker Perrigo Co. said Tuesday that it has agreed to settle litigation filed against it by Nycomed US over that company's Cutivate lotion, which is used to treat dermatitis.
Perrigo will license the relevant patents in order to be able to develop and launch a generic version of the lotion in September 2012, or earlier under some circumstances.
The lotion is used to treat atopic dermatitis. It has annual sales of about $50 million.
