SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Paul Mueller Co., which makes stainless steel tanks, plans to expand its headquarters in Springfield, Mo. and add 289 employees.
The state Department of Economic Development says the business could get up to $2.7 million of tax incentives under the Quality Jobs program, which is based on the number of employees hired.
Paul Mueller designs and makes stainless steel tanks and other equipment for the food, dairy, beverage, chemical, biofuels, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and pure water industries. It currently has about 485 employees at its Springfield headquarters.
Gov. Jay Nixon says the company plans to spend $600,000 on new equipment as part of its expansion.
