Cleanroom Garment Laundering

Tue, 07/26/2011 - 12:02pm

Video show how a cleanroom garment washing facility ensures garments are free from contamination. The facility washes clothes in an environment that is lint free, particle free, and free of contamination. Before the garments can be laundered, the water must go through five, very different, and very scientific filtration and exchange processes. Personnel who handle any cleanroom garments or cleanroom uniforms must be gowned up with a coverall, hood, gown, and special boots. Every garment is boxed and shipped to another location for final sterilization. Everyone in the facility must be well trained and the entire process must be documented.
