NEW YORK (AP) – Warner Chilcott Ltd. said Tuesday it filed lawsuits against several drug developers for patent infringement of its antibiotic Doryx. The Bermuda-based specialty pharmaceutical company and partner Mayne Pharma International Pty, a subsidiary of Hospira Inc., sued Mutual Pharmaceutical Co., Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Impax Laboratories Inc. in the District Court for the District of New Jersey. All the companies named in the lawsuit have asked the Food and Drug Administration to approve generic versions of Doryx.
